Although many known them by their more fanciful names - ninja, assassin, and the like - the Aoikazuchi are behind the latest killings of prominent figures in the Tokyo underworld. Their motives, for the most part, remain unknown, although there is suspicion that they are only in it for the money it brings in. Perhaps the people ordering the killings are tired of the circus spectacle the once proud nation has turned in to.

The underground's black marketplace, otherwise known as The Carnival. The location changes weekly, but is almost always somewhere in the vicinity of Shibuya. You can buy the usual fare - weapons, services, etc - or you can go in for a different kind of buy. Surgeons, parts dealers, even people selling robotic animals to adorn oneself with have all began to deal in The Carnival, making it the place to go for the more dangerous and exotic modifications. The kind the police wouldn't be too happy about seeing you with.

Not everyone likes to buy off the black market, of course - and the nice men at Yamato provide an almost semi-legal pathway to all things robotic. It's no secret that they hire people to infiltrate the Carnival and the city's night entertainment, but recently rumours have arisen that they've taken their spying to a whole new level. These suits are backed by powerful money and big technology, and are the main producers of prototype android lifeforms.
