As his hand was finally taken, Ikki pulled upwards with a surprisingly controlled amount of force. Then again, being in the medical field called for fluid motions when it came down to it. A patient's life could be determined by just how steady a doctor could be when working, and in the years that he had learned this, Ikki's entire form had mellowed out considerably. As the young man caught himself from falling forwards, Ikki blinked briefly though a half smile came to his features. The thanks that was given once he'd gotten back to the bed was met with a smile nod.
The sudden statement was met with a quiet chuckle that fizzled out rather quickly as Ikki drew more serious again. "You did," he agreed though his tone was far from mocking at the moment. For now at least, he wasn't the ridiculing playful man that he had been prior. Instead, he was a doctor, and the personality shift kicked down a good bit of whatever condescending tone might have slipped in without. He left the apology in the air, neither accepting or even acknowledging it. It wasn't that he hadn't heard it, either. Instead, there were different matters to attend to that he found more important at the moment.
"Your name is Fuwa-kun, isn't it?" Dr. Yamagoe asked shortly after the last statement from the boy. That was the name that he had been given by the Teriyaki House that he had called: Fuwa Kumakichi. Though some would have been prompted to use first name, when it came down to it, Ikki found it unprofessional. It implied friendship, and with as much disdain as he had for people using his first name, he had for using other people's. There were few people whose first names he actually used, most of whom were family-...Hanako's family.
"I don't think we were properly introduced. I am Dr. Yamagoe," he stated after a moment. Though he was tempted to get into the medical aspects of things, Ikki was a little too aware that the young man wasn't quite in the best mindset and therefore decided to take things at least relatively slow. Head trauma was a nasty thing, really. However, it seemed as though no immediate memories had been lost whether for good or for bad Ikki wasn't quite sure.
