I would love for the current members to have some say in the new direction of the site! The reason for these changes is that there are simply wayyyy too many 'roleplay in tokyo' sites popping up and I feel that we need to do something to make ourselves stand out more. The original motivation for the site was not entirely all there, I will admit, and I would like to change that.
The new 'plot' will be kind of a mix between the manga Ilegenes and the movie Bladerunner. It will still keep the idea of biorobotics and cyborgs, but most likely will NOT include fully-sentient human robots. The technology would be more publicly accepted, and allow for more image-altering modifications.
At the moment I'm toying with the idea of a very very industrialised, Western-influenced Tokyo, set much further in the future in a kind of Neo-Edo Era. Thoughts? Opinions? What would you like to see in the site, what would you like to see changed, what would you like to go or stay? Please help with your input! |

So yeah, I think a new direction to the site might be nice!  Neo-Edo... Would this look something like the setting of Gintama? Does this mean the modifications would be more available to the lower class as well? As for suggestions, maybe have the leaders of both yakuza be npc? This is just my opinion, but since no one has filled the lead canon spots, there hasn't been much of plot progression? But that would mean more work for you.... xD Idk, ;u;/ I'm in support of the changes is my main point. xD

I was thinking of ditching the gangs altogether herp because i have never been able to do them well and i don't even really like the idea of them so i don't know why i keep making sites that revolve around them. I've never seen Gintama so I can't answer that question! But the setting would be more like the town in Ilegenes, the city in Bladerunner - for simple visual inspiration, think along the lines of The World That Never Was meets Circ du Soleil.

I agree with the part about the gangs. Aha, I don't feel like I have quite a grip on what the gangs should be like; that's why I opted for the admin of a gang XD. Honestly, I was hoping someone would fill the leader spots so we could push the plot forward. If you do want get rid of the gangs all together, I wouldn't be completely opposed to it because a lot of people are plain ol' citizens from what I could see anyway. Or perhaps just make the gangs a minor role in the new plot?
But I love the new idea. Industrialized, neo-edo Tokyo - so exciting and something I don't think I've ever heard of either! I joined because it was already an original idea but I'm happy that it's improving too. :]
