kumakichi is energetic, optimistic, and naive, he is sometimes seen as childish and uneducated. he's rather impulsive, acting and thinking on the first thoughts to pop up into his head when he's wound up. which seems to be quite often, as he's rather excitable. with his friendly bright and cheery attitude, he's often likened to an untrained puppy. his social skills are awkward at best, as he spends much more time in the land of fantasy than reality.
though he can come across as a boyscout, always mannerly and never opposed to going out of his way for others, the boy is extremely selfish and conceited. he has a bit of a mean streak and can be quite bitter. passive-aggressive and two-faced, few people see the cockier, more deceitful side of him, and he prefers it that way. while he may act friendly, he is always suspicious of the people around him, though somehow he still manages to be gullible. prone to holding rather dangerous grudges, he is extremely spiteful. critical of others, he thinks rather highly of himself, though he hides his arrogance well, playing it off as humble confidence. he is intelligent and he knows it, he just prefers to be seen as a bumbling air head so that he can better observe people without being seen as a threat.
his gentle nature can snap in an instant. violent and loud, he's prone to throwing rather emotional fits when he's taken more than he can bear.
still, for all his faults, kumakichi is empathetic and kind hearted. his heart strings are pulled rather easily, and he honestly does want to be well liked for the people around him. his insecurities make it difficult for him to open up, though most people would never guess he's keeping secrets the way he seems to wear his heart out on his sleeve.
