No affiliation of that nature. He sees himself as a civilian.

On the medical level, he highly supports mechanical modifications. His left hand has been replaced with a mechanical one that appears to sport a variety of uses. Each finger has a different kind of knife or screw driver which he flips out when doing work. His thumb and index finger can flip out into scalpels that he will sometimes use together as scissors. His middle finger has a screw driver that can interchange heads depending on the need. His ring finger can act as a needle (and he can pull it straight out of its joint to use at times. His pinkie finger has yet another scalpel. These extensions appear to flip outwards from his hand and thus can appear as if they're not even there if he's wearing gloves, which he does often.

Having been born deaf, as a child he had both of his cochlea and inner ear replaced with various mechanical parts enabling him to hear so long as he has the machines turned 'on' by pressing the earring-like metal pieces on his earlobes. Being the ass he is, when he's being yelled at, he'll sometimes turn off his hearing and just watch the person yell at him.

PERSONALITY NOTES:
Positives:
Intelligent- Ikki is quite intelligent having the medical know-how to work through a situation/case whether he is exactly sure what is going on or not. His thoughts are usually very dynamic in nature, and thus, he is usually able to get to the bottom of any situation without too much trouble. That being said, while intelligent, he prefers to bounce his ideas off of someone or something rather than just go with his own thoughts in order to make sure that he isn't going to some sort of extreme which he has a chronic problem with. He likes talking through a situation and is very vocal about things though if someone just joins a conversation, it is usually hard to tell what he is talking about given he jumps from one point to another in a stream of consciousness matter. Rather aware of this, when alone and thinking through things, he's more apt to be quieter than he would be when with someone as not to appear too crazy.

Adaptive Ikki is very adaptive able to change when the time calls for it. Whether he has done something before or not doesn't seem to matter to him as he takes it all up rather naturally. He is able to work with what he has an does so efficiently never wasting if he can help it. As long as he has time to think through a situation (and sometimes even if he doesn't), he can usually find a way to adapt and get through some pressing matter.

Brave ...Or possibly just good at repressing his fear, Ikki seems to act rather brave and bold even in the most pressing of situations. True he can get nervous under pressure, but he generally keeps a rather strict expression and rarely lets any sort of conflict show on his features. Fear of physical pain or mental distortion will actually make him laugh at times, and thus rather than egg on a situation with his known fear, he's actually very good at diffusing the stresser with a lack of t. That being said, he isn't stupid. He wouldn't go and throw himself in front of a car thinking that he was super man, but yeah...

Calm Ikki is very distilled and calm. He gives off a serene air and works at his own pace even when the situation calls for panic and action. He beats to the rhythm of his own drum and doesn't seem to let things worry him. One of his better known quotes is "don't worry, it will all work out in the end." which he says to anyone that tries to bring drama to his table.

Kind Though he can be rather harsh and cruel towards people willing to chastise them for their mess ups and the like, Ikki is actually rather kind hearted deep down. He cares for people and for humanity in general often wishing that such an amazing race wouldn't do such violence against itself. He would never leave someone injured on his door step whether they could pay or not. If he can help with something -especially medical- he is usually up to at least try and help someone work through a situation. That doesn't mean he won't tease and laugh at them along the way, but still.

Negatives:
Unscrupulous Ikki cares very little for what most would be considered 'good ethics' or 'good morals'. He has fun with poking holes in people's logic and likes to reveal that the world isn't all black and white. "Each situation is different and you can't compare it to the last" he explains. He believes that there are times when one can be utterly cruel and vicious and be justified even when it seems unlikely that there is such justification. He also cares very little for humanity's fear of mechnicalization and sees it as a new form of evolution going beyond that of what biology can do. He also won't admit that he has quite a fetish for taking things -and people- apart and putting them back together again to make them more 'perfect' or rather more to his liking. He often has what he calls 'psychotic fits' where he feels the compulsion to shred things wildly and piece them back together. Most of the time he keeps this to himself and behind closed doors where he takes apart items rather than humans, yet sometimes when around people, he'll act on his irrationality and go after that person saying that he'll make them 'more perfect'. That being said, he's often made it a running gag to ask people" how they would like to be taken apart today" though that he'll more often than not laugh off.

Lazy Ikki is a chronic lay-about. When not working medically, he's a lazy bum and would happily watch paint dry rather than get up and do laundry. He often refuses to take care of himself going so far as to forget to eat at times unless reminded to. He'd much rather put what he considers "extra work" (pretty much anything that isn't surgery and medical work) off on other people. He's quite immature when people tell him to do things even if it is to his own benefit and is prone to getting upset and huffing a lot.

Obnoxious Ikki has quite a tongue. Venomous with his high-level words of ridicule, he can come off as obnoxious towards hose around him. He's extremely critical of just about everything and is bold enough to voice his dislike of things whenever he feels like it which makes him often hard to deal with. He often gives people and things 'one chance' to impressive him, and his standards are so outrageous that it is nearly impossible to meet his expectations. Even a five star restaurant and hotel is more or less 'meh could be better' to him.

Chastising Going along with just flat out obnoxious, Ikki is very chastising and critical of other people. He sees no problem with pointing out other people's flaws even in public and even if these flaws are also his own. He is actually very aware of his own problems but tends to ignore them or laugh them off when other people point them out. He's more apt to turn a situation around and start taking apart other people rather than let them talk about him.

Cruel Borderline just flat out brutal, Ikki is both spiteful and just flat out mean at times. He has a habit of threatening people whether lightly or darkly, and as he always says 'I don't make threats I make promises'. He is actually known to carry out a lot of what he says both making him honest and horrifying towards some. That being said, around those that manage to stick with him long enough, he is a bit more decent and prone to laughing and making sure people know he is joking about his threats.

Obsessive Though usually lazy, Ikki cannot stand unclean things especially in his office. Thus, when he can't get someone else to do it for him, he's often cleaning vigorously. This may just be an extension of his doctor persona in which he dislikes anything that would endanger his patient's life including disease though it seems more personal than that. He literally cannot have unclean floors, dusty walls, or any of that around him or he gets more fidgety than usual.

Other
Demisexual Though after the death of his wife he claims to be asexual, somewhere in him is actually still pretty demisexual in which he needs a deep emotional attachment to someone before he can actually have romantic feelings for that person. That being said, he is very devoted once that attachment has actually set itself becoming almost a little too clingy and obsessive for reason.
