optimistic nearly nothing will bring him down and he typically looks to the more positive sides of a situation, which makes him definitely more brighter to be around.
humble he's never one to brag or make himself seem more unique or interesting than what he already is. sure, he's been called a nice painter and an excellent writer but he isn't going to go around bragging about that either.
hard working after leaving home at the age of sixteen, botan knows what it's like to go a few days with not much to eat and having to work really hard by juggling multiple jobs to make ends meet. he likes to nap, but he's definitely not lazy.
