Izzy had been working in her shop for the better part of the day when she happened to look up at the time, hitting her head on the hood of her Kaminari as a result. "Ouch! Oh crap it's that time already..."Izzy muttered under her breath as she closed the hood after adjusting the last bolt in question. It had been a slow day so Izzy had taken advantage of the extra time she had on her hands to do the modifications to her engine she'd been wanting to make for a while. Needless to say she had lost track of time and had all but forgotten that she was supposed to have a check up today with Dr. Yamagoe. Rubbing her head, Izzy finished putting away her tools and started up the Kaminari, smiling at the purr of the engine."Thatah girl, now let's ride~,"Izzy crooned as the car roared to life.
Minutes later Izzy was in front of Dr. Yamagoe's office and all but rushing through the front door in an effort not to be late. Waving to the receptionist, Izzy continued towards the back where she knew Ikki would no doubt be waiting. "Sorry about that Ikki-san~, I was working on my baby and lost track of time,"Izzy said in manner of explanation, smiling at the doctor all the while.

What Izzy would see was, in truth, Dr. Yamagoe, yet at the moment he was... less than conscious. With to arms crossed making for a pillow and with his chin and the left side of his face resting on those arms, the doctor was snoozing. All things considered, he certainly looked rather peaceful there among all the stacks of various medical books and files that he had yet to put away, but considering he was supposed to be working, it wasn't the best scene for anyone to see the doctor in-- as if Dr. Yamagoe actually cared, really considering he threw conventional things out the window daily and considering somehow he still had patients regardless. Maybe his reputation just proceeded him, or maybe he was just cheap all things considered. Not even Ikki himself could really be sure.
It was probably for the best that while behind the curtains of the dream world he hadn't heard Izzy's use of his first name. Considering he was rather skeptical of people using it to begin with let alone his patients who were often told to call him Dr. Yamagoe, he probably would have thrown a fit at the young woman that had just entered for using it so plainly especially when she was late. Why he bothered to write his first name then on his medical sign out front not even his receptionist really knew especially considering he was apparently the last of his family's line or so most people heard. That was a somewhat dramatic story for another day, though. At the present, one was still left to consider Dr. Yamagoe.
Deep in his subconscious dream world, the doctor was actually quite busy. A surgery was underway, and he was working rather hard on whatever it was. A mix of pride and a compulsion to help others often created such dreams, and he had yet to ever realize it was not a dream until he found his eyes opening again. No, it was every bit like being awake, and the force of work was ever bit as labor intensive as if he were actually preforming it. Some could question if this was healthy all things considered, but even if they weren't, it wasn't like they could be fixed without resorting to some sort of psychological drugs. However, it was dreams like these that often led to a hard sleep for the doctor- something that took more than just a few words to wake from. Obscurely enough, it wasn't as if he hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before, really. Instead, it was... mostly because he had been procrastinating and what better way to do that than to fall asleep? Ikki might have had his priorities unorganized or just organized in a more than unconventional way, really.
Ikki's breathing shifted patterns slightly, and his eyelid twitched as though it may flicker open any second. However, instead of coming back to consciousness, he simply rolled his head sideways and changed psitions of his arm pillow. Well, if anyone stopped to argue the comfort pattern of such a position, it seemed it had to be at least to the doctor. Then again, very few knew of his general sleeping patterns leaving quite a bit of speculation to be had.

Izzy stared at the sleeping form of Dr. Yamagoe for a moment before sighing and sweat dropping slightly. And here she thought that she had made him wait....seems the shoe was on the other foot now. It wasn't unusual to see Ikki being lazy but generally he was at least doing something mildly productive... Still...as much as a hypocrite that it made her appear after being late (by all of two minutes) to her own appointment, Izzy hated waiting unless it was for a good reason. Even then Izzy's patience generally lasted all of 5 minutes on a good day.
Walking over to where Dr. Yamagoe was sleeping, Izzy scanned the documents that were still on the desk when she spotted a felt-tipped pen. A mischievous smile came to Izzy's features as she took the pen and began to draw on Ikki's sleeping face, going so far as to draw eyes on his eyelids. It was just a joke and no doubt she would hear about it late but hey, how could she resist. Replacing the pen where she had found it, Izzy took a seat in a nearby chair, took out her phone, and started mapping out blueprints for her next project. She would let sleeping dogs lie for the time being...

Though one would have assumed Dr. Yamagoe would have awoken to the fact that his face was being drawn on, he simply didn't. He barely even moved though he did utter a few syllables that weren't quite close to words. A short time passed, and it seemed as though Ikki was content to sleep all day. However, just as fifteen minutes had passed, the doctor mumbled a little more in his sleep and shifted some. "Damn it... Han... Han stay..." were the few silent words whispered between breaths. If one could see his face, it had tensed quite a bit distorting even the images drawn on it. Ikki finally tensed fully and slowly opened his eyes shortly after that. The expression on his face was far from happy though one could possibly argue it was just groggy. Deep down, it was something a bit more personal than that.
At first the world was a blur, and mixed with the sickening feeling in his stomach, Dr. Yamagoe found himself simply continuing to lay on his arms. Purple eyes blinked a few times and flicked around parts of the room before Ikki slowly drew up his chin and looked fully forwards catching sight of Izzy in the process. "Ngh, Miyagi-san," he mumbled before slowly smiling from behind his arms. Slowly sitting up fully, he rubbed the back of his neck. "You creeper, why were you watching me sleep?" he accused before putting on a teasing expression that came and went arguing both ways whether he was serious about his words or not.
Briefly his eyes flickered to her phone, and he sighed deeply before resting a elbow on the table and his head in one hand. "If I catch any new images on whatever new social server site you're on, you'll have a few new keys in your car." he threatened warned calmly after that. Reaching a hand up, he massaged his shoulder slowly before running his hand down his sleeve and pulling it up to check the time. I was out for a while....sigh...well it was a good nap I suppose... he thought before slowly smiling again.

By the time Ikki finally did wake up Izzy had finished the blueprint she had been working on and had even taken a few pictures of the sleeping doctor just for fun. Izzy was in the process of texting a customer who was proving to be rather difficult when she thought she heard Ikki mutter something. Pausing, Izzy glanced over at the doctor to see him open his eyes and smiled,"Morning sleepy head~,"she chimed before sending the text and making some slight changes to another blueprint.
Hearing Ikki's muttered words, Izzy looked up from her phone and chuckled softly,"I keep telling you, it's Izzy,"she replied before putting the phone away,"And I wasn't watching you sleep, I took the time to adjust some of the details on my latest project since you were obviously so busy~,"she teased in return before hearing the threat and rolled her eyes,"Just because I might have taken some pictures doesn't mean that I'd let the world see them too. I actually don't like the social networks, it's better to go out and do things and ya know, meet people."
Standing up, Izzy leaned against a nearby wall and smirked slightly,"Besides, last time some moron hurt my baby....well....let's just say they woke up preeetttyyy sore the next day~,"she replied in a light tone despite the more serious expression on her face. "Anyway~, did you forget my appointment was today or did you get to busy with your work,"Izzy asked in a light teasing voice, wondering all the while just how long it would take for Ikki to realize just how ridiculous he looked right now.

Whether he was just tired or just slow, Ikki didn't quite know, but it took a few seconds for him to gather all that Izzy had replied with. Morning? Nah, it was more... afternoonish now wasn't it? Ikki's eyes dropped to his watch again as if to confirm this. No wait, he guessed it could still be considered morning, heh. Then again, it was five o'clock somewhere else, not that Dr. Yamagoe actually drank when it came down to it. He couldn't stand drunks. They wee simply useless blabermouths, and he refused to deteriorate himself to such a state if he could help it. "It's six a.m. somewhere, huh?" he half heartedly replied.
Even if Izzy did still insist on her first name, Ikki wasn't the type to use such especially with patients. Just as he disliked people using his first name, he scarcely used anyone else's first name save for maybe a few close family members of Hanako's. "Ah I see," he replied as she explained what she had been doing. Well obviously he had been rather busy checking the inside of his eye-lids, and thus the tease was allowed to ass somewhat well. However, as Izzy confirmed that she had in fact taken some pictures, Ikki frowned and stared. "Delete them," was the single ordered retort. There were so few pictures of Ikki in the world, and he didn't appreciate anyone else having them for one reason or another.
Watching as Izzy stood up and leaned against his wall, Ikki set his elbow on the desk and leaned his cheek on it. "Doesn't mean it would happen to me," the doctor smirked. Whether it was confidence or a strict lack of fear none could really be sure, but it took more than some idle threats being thrown around for him to tense up. As the question was posed, Ikki shrugged his shoulders. "Work was super busy today," he replied with an easy tone that argued against his own words. "And the inside of my eyelids needed some special attention."
After a moment, the doctor sat back and bridged both of his fingers. "Well, first and foremost, how are you feeling?" he asked slowly rolling back into his doctorial ways as was his custom. Though he was lazy on various other things, when it came to seeing his patients, it became at least a bit more serious to him
Simply because there were no mirrors in Ikki's office, he didn't see what had been done to his face just yet......

Izzy chuckled at the response to the threat of sorts she had issued and shook her head. Of course Ikki wasn't the type to get intimidated easily and granted she had been teasing slightly. As he continued on about work being busy Izzy smirked but held her tongue on whatever she was about to say. Ikki's definition of busy was questionable at best but Izzy wasn't going to argue. Besides she was having a hard time keeping a straight face as it was becoming more apparent that Ikki hadn't noticed yet.
At the question he posed, Izzy's smile faltered slightly as she thought how best to respond. She'd been spending most nights in her workshop working on whatever project had stolen her attention at the time. It certainly hadn't helped that more orders had come in for custom parts that needed to be done A.S.A.P. and apparently Izzy was the only person who could do them. That was right...she still hadn't finished-no...focus. "I've been swamped with work actually...a bunch of rush orders came in the other day and I pulled a few all nighters,"Izzy explained before giving a short half-laugh,"I actually can't remember the last time I slept now that I think about it..."she continued in a light voice, trailing off at the end of the sentence. If Ikki knew that it had probably been at least a day since she'd last eaten then well...he certainly wouldn't be too happy with her to say the least of things.
Looking back at Ikki, Izzy's smile once again returned to her features,"As for how I'm feeling I'm fine~,"she replied easily, shrugging her shoulders as if everything else she had just said didn't matter. It wasn't the first time Izzy had gone days without sleep and it certainly wouldn't be the last but what else could she do. It wasn't like her so called employees knew squat about how to do anything...they were little more than glorified errand boys with the title of mechanic. Izzy preferred a more hands on approach when it came to her work and tended to get lost in her latest project. She hated leaving things unfinished especially when her 'employees' were around...for all she knew they could start working where she left off and royally screw up. Sighing quietly, Izzy pushed the thoughts aside and returned her attention to Dr. Yamagoe, waiting to hear whatever rebuke she had a feeling would come next.

As Izzy began to explain what she had been doing as of late, Ikki mentally sighed. That was not what he had asked. He wanted her health note, how she was feeling, not her entire life story since after her last check-up.
That aside, he found himself wondering what sort of rush orders a mechanic -er...that was what she wasn't wasn't she? yeah something like that.. he wasn't entitled to remember all of his patients all of the time now was he? No certainly not- had. A mechanic's work seemed rather slow and it honestly didn't seem like a job one would spend nights up for. Wherein doctors were apparently entitled to be up all night and at their patient's beck and call- damn himself for being self employed and chaining such notions to himself in the process, mechanics could close shop for a day or two and no one would notice, right? Maybe Ikki was being a bit more cynical than was tasteful to be, but once again, that was just how he was.
Though it wasn't his place to go sticking his nose and asking questions on such matters as other people's work, Ikki didn't quite care. he was a doctor, and somehow this gave him the right. An almost skeptical look came to the doctor's features though whether this was from what the young woman before him was saying or whether it was the way she presented the information, only Ikki knew. "I see," he replied wearing his doctor's tone as if it were a robe rather than a voice notion. "Miyagi-san do you know what sleep is for the human body?" he asked slowly smiling. "Sleep is a physical process that allows the body to do processes it cannot achieve while the body is awake for instance the break down of very important chemical compounds seems to be regulated during the sleeping cycle. Not only that, the brain produces different forms of waves when one is asleep rather than awake. These waves are very important for alertness and the capacity to understand things, among other things," Ikki paused and stared briefly.
"Without sleep, the human psyche is not at its peak, and more than anything, especially in your line of work, accident percentages raise tremendously when you deny yourself such," he stopped again and continued to smile. "On its own lack of sleep causes over twenty-five hundred thousand car wrecks per year. Now we both can agree driving is not that difficult, yes? Also, several scientific reports have concluded that more than forty-eight hours of sleep deprivation is the equivalent of a blood alcohol level of point two'o or even greater depending on the time one spends awake." He stopped again and stared as though trying to gauge her expression before continuing. He wanted to make sure she was paying attention if he was going to say all of this.
"You absolutely must take care to regulate yourself. Just because a few parts of you are mechanical does not mean you're a robot and can deal without going through natural human processes. If you continue to restrict yourself by such means, you'll only prove a determent to your psyche..." Though it looked like he was about to say more, Ikki stopped and blinked as his stomach rumbled. Oh stop it, you... I fed you...erhm... yesterday sometime... he said quite unsure if that assessment was even correct. Though he was a doctor, Ikki was a hypocrite on various things, though it wasn't like he was going to go around admitting that. Ever still, now that he thought about it, a nice lunch ordered form some take out place sounded rather lovely at the moment.
... But that required either getting up to pick it up or paying extra for the delivery. Was Ikki a bit more frugal than most? Why yes he was. After a moment, he raised a finger and set it on his chin looking thoughtful. "Hm... mind if I order take out?' he asked after a moment. "I'll get you something if you want~" he laughed a little mentally hoping that she'd split the bill that way, maybe.

Izzy smiled all the look Ikki was giving her and shrugged almost sheepishly. Really it wasn't that big of a deal, sleep was something people did when they had time and...well Izzy did have a bad habit of losing track of time when she was working. That probably had more to do with the lack of sleep then rushing on several of her latest projects. Izzy had still gotten them done before the customer was even going to arrive to pick it up but all the same... Hearing Ikki speak in that formal tone of his, Izzy rolled her eyes and chuckled slightly,"Izzy..."she corrected the doctor yet again before falling silent as he began to lecture her about sleep.
Izzy listened quietly as Ikki explained what sleep did and...then something about different waves... Ah, since when was she supposed to know what all this pschobabble doctor language meant. OK so the waves during sleep helped for alertness and comprehension, that made sense. It still didn't really matter in the long run...or so Izzy kept telling herself. She had stayed up several nights in a row before and had been just fine...of course that had also been right before-...ah whatever, it was just a coincidence nothing more. When Ikki paused in his lecture, Izzy shrugged and smirked, she was about to respond in turn when he continued...wow...and she thought her step-dad was bad when it came to lectures.
As Ikki continued on about how lack of sleep contributed to...whatever number of accidents a year, Izzy found herself going over her schedule in her head instead of listening as she should have been. Let's see...unless something came up she should get back to the shop in plenty of time to finish that...and then she should start working on starting on some of the blueprints she had finished mapping out and-... Right, there was time for that later...pay attention Izzy. Shifting her attention back to Ikki, Izzy caught the last part about something about alcohol and sleep deprivation. Smirking, Izzy chuckled softly and shook her head,"Right, because I would be stupid enough to even start working on something when I'm drunk. I have been drunk before but I don't even feel the slightest bit 'loopy' I guess is the best way to describe it,"she retorted in a light voice and would have said more but it seemed that Ikki still wasn't finished.
Izzy's smile nearly faltered as Ikki continued talking about regulating and mechanical and...blah. She knew all of this already and had been doing this for a while now... Heck, her record before she finally crashed was almost a week...not that Ikki needed to know that of course. When it seemed that Ikki was going to say more after the 'sleep deprivation can make you insane' bit Izzy's smile did fade to be replaced by a rather blank expression. This lasted briefly however as Ikki's stomach rumbled, Izzy's smile returned to her features,"Hmm? What was that about regulating and what not?"Izzy teased before hearing Ikki's suggestion. Take out sounded good...and though Izzy knew this was probably some way to get her to pay for food on top of the fee for the appointment she didn't really care. "Mmmm, that actually sounds good, what did you have in mind?"Izzy asked easily, glad that the lecture was done...at least for the time being.

Her retort was memorized for later when he had finished the things he needed to say. It was a perfect opportunity to point out that she had one, not been listening to him, and two not gotten what he was meaning by it.That was quite annoying seeing as he had been careful to say everything as it was meant to. He already didn't like repeating himself, and this was probably the reason he could never be a teacher. However, it also proved that she was probably suffering from lack of sleep, and thus, he could point it out in just a bit to really shove his point home. If that didn't work, then he'd figure something out.
Ah, and then lunch got in the way of that- silly stomach seemed to will things. Oh well, he still had it saved for now at least. "I was thinking maybe an Italian place or something. I believe there's one that does delivery up the street," he replied before starting to fish through the drawers of his desk. A few drawers were opened and closed promptly before a menu was finally pulled out. "Ah here we go," he hummed before flipping through it briefly already knowing what he wanted before holding it out to her. "They're known for their pastas but I believe the pizza is also pretty good." he said promptly before sitting back again. Yes, he'd get lunch done before actually carrying on the previous conversation.
Ikki's priorities might not have been exactly in line.

Izzy nodded when Ikki suggested the Italian restaurant, she wasn't really picky when it came to food. Now if they had some sweets....oh that's right, she had some red licorice in her purse. Pulling out a couple pieces, Izzy began to munch on them thoughtfully before taking the menu and flipping through it. Ah, the baked cheese pasta sounded good...mmm and perhaps some of the deserts besides that and she could split some breadsticks with Ikki-san too~.
Having decided what she wanted, Izzy handed the menu back to Ikki,"The five cheese Ziti al Forno sounds good to me~. We can split some breadsticks or some bruschetta...I hear that's supposed to be pretty good~. I think I'll have the triple chocolate strata, black tie mousse cake, white chocolate raspberry cheese cake and....ah what the heck just gimme the entire dessert menu."Izzy said in a light voice before finishing the piece of red licorice she had been eating,"Don't worry, I'll pay my half~,"she continued before pulling out a few more pieces of red licorice and offering some to Ikki,"Want some? They're kinda addicting..."

Ikki's eye caught the candy, and a part of him sighed deeply as a result. Straight candy was straight sugar, and wherein some sweets actually had nutritional value along with them such as with chocolate, the doctor had yet to find anything good that came from straight unhinged sugar. As the menu was handed back to him, Dr. Yamagoe reached over gingerly and took it back before setting it back on his table again.
As Izzy began to explain all of what she was planning to get, Ikki's face went from amused to deadpan in a matter of seconds. What was worse was she offered one of the candy and was still eating that even as she went on. A twitching smile slowly set itself on the doctor's features. "Miyagi-san, do you know what diabetes is??" he asked slowly setting an elbow on the table and setting his cheek in his hand. "Diabetes is the lack of a body to be able to control its blood sugar level resulting in abnormally high sugar levels. Diabetes can be grouped into two categories one called Type One and Type Two. Type One is commonly called Infantile Diabetes where there is something wrong from birth, and the body cannot regulate its blood sugar levels this leading to an increased circulation of sugar in the blood stream. Type Two, something that has only become more frequent over the last century is sometimes called Adult or Teenage Diabetes wherein the body has had such a strain from certain things that it can no longer control its blood sugar levels." Ikki paused briefly if only to take in a breath.
"While Type One is the more serious, Type Two is becoming far more common. The cause of Type Two is all but directly influenced by the influx of sugar levels used in various processed foods. Such processed foods are very common in our day and age, but even within that group, there are various foods that have more sugar than others and different types of sugar. Sweets, as one would expect, contain a high level of sugar. True it can provide a source of quick energy, but without any sort of complexity such as complex carbohydrates or proteins, it becomes what some people refer to as 'empty calories' which stockpile primarily in the blood. If not worked off, this influx of sugar becomes a problem to the body, and thus the body uses insulin to cause the levels to drop and come to the correct amount..." Ikki broke off briefly if only to catch another breath.
"Now this is all well and good, but when you stress and strain the body's insulin producing liver with fluctuating levels of sugar, it can become so stressed that the cells begin to die out leading to a lack of insulin producers which only causes more of a strain and more cells to die. Thus it becomes a vicious circle in which eventually there are no more cells that can produce insulin." Ikki sighed deeply as he stopped for a moment to stare at Izzy.
"Which, if unregulated, leads to death," he smirked dryly. "Now we wouldn't want that now would we? I suggest only ordering one dessert, and if you're that hungry, add in a meat dish to your regular course or maybe we can order some milk with the dishes." he finally finished. "Oh... and no it's alright, as you can probably guess, I'm not a big fan of sweets." he chuckled.

Izzy continued to munch on her licorice even as Ikki began to talk....and talk and............... Did he ever shut up.....? By the time Ikki began explaining about the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, Izzy had once again tuned him out and had started going through her checklist of things she still needed to get done. Ah yes...she still had that new project to start and then there was that other thing she still had to get done. Meh, she could get that done tonight...mabye pull another all nighter or something, it wasn't like she was tired or anything. Mmm, and then there was the groceries that Izzy still had to get...maybe pick up some more large buckets of red licorice...
...good Lord was he still going on about diabetes....Sigh...the last thing Izzy wanted was yet another lecture...and he still insisted on calling her Miyagi-san...even though she insisted on calling her Izzy. Whatever, it wasn't really worth worrying about...just a matter of personal preference was all. Oh wait he stopped again...what had he been going on about now...oh yes, diabetes and something about burning off the excess sugar. Whatever, last time Izzy checked having sugar wasn't illegal...unless there was something in the candy she wasn't aware about. Bah, that couldn't be the case when she got her supplies at grocery stores and not some back street market. Pulling out a deck of cards, Izzy began to absent-mindedly began to shuffle them just to do something with her hands.
Izzy was beginning to wish that she had just cancelled the appointment when she had realized she was running late in the first place. Oh, had he finally stopped talking...nope....there he goes again, something about the strain of sugar on the body and ....this was beginning to get annoying. Nearly deadpanning, Izzy's smile faded to almost a mix between a grimace and a smirk. Well...that was a bit over dramatic...so what if she had a sweet tooth, it didn't mean she was going to die from it. As fast as her metabolism was it was very doubtful that she would even come close to dying from excess sugar...heck, Izzy could eat hamburgers, hot dogs, and the like without even gaining an ounce. When Ikki suggested limiting herself to one dessert, Izzy smirked and chuckled softly when Ikki turned down the red licorice.
"Ya know....you could have just said no..."Izzy said in a light voice, rolling her eyes slightly before breathing in quietly,"First of all, I'm not going to die from sugar intake. I have a fast metabolism, you should know this being my doctor Yamagoe-san~," she continued, shuffling the cards a little faster now,"Not only that, anything that's not burned away by my metabolism is burned off by either the work that I do in the shop or the other activities I like to do." Breathing out quietly, Izzy looked at the cards she was shuffling and started tossing them from hand to hand so that they almost formed a rainbow of sorts. "Last time I checked, having a sweet tooth wasn't illegal. Besides, I never said I would eat them all at one time~. But I think that the tea they have is good and was planning on getting that. I never can decide between desserts anyway~,"Izzy replied as she continued to toss the cards back and forth paying little to no attention to Ikki at the moment.

Ikki rolled his eyes at the comment of just saying no but waited for her to finish speaking before actually starting. Taking up a book from his desk, he tossed it at her as if to break up her card game as well as make her take a look at it. If she did look at it, she'd find a medical dictionary of various diseases within the covers. "Just because your metabolism is in order does not mean that your body can handle high levels of sugar, and those especially known to have a high metabolism in their younger years are well known to watch it crash later on when their system finally cools down" he stated flatly before smirking. "Though I have to admit watching you pudge out would be hysterical." Was he serious? It was hard to tell, really, but he did at least wave some air of sarcasm on that point. There was no way that he would enjoy watching his patients get out of whack in either direction. That was so counter productive to what he tried to achieve with his work that he simply didn't tolerate it.
"But you are correct on one point, I wouldn't let you die from it," he said as his features grew more somber. "However, even on that point, you can die from it. It isn't a laughing matter and something to dismiss right off. You must be careful to balance out your meals in a healthy way. Even if you get enough exercise, it doesn't mean that you can eat an entire dessert menu and expect to not have some sort of repercussions. Diabetes can happen to anyone who doesn't be careful with sugar levels no matter their situation. Moderation in everything is the key to a happy life, says Aristotle." He smirked a little at his own words. For as much as he disliked Aristotelian methods of science, he did approve of some of the philosophy of human life.
"And you wouldn't believe the number of researchers who have tried to make sweets illegal," he said after a brief moment. He actually had a rather good friend who was bent on purging the world of sweets. It was somewhat comical to watch and somewhat horrible at the same time. "And even if you didn't say you'd eat them all at once, it doesn't mean that they're any less a part of your diet~" he smirked. "And I do enjoy the teas... though I think I stick with my coffee," he hummed briefly before sighing.

Izzy wasn't expecting the book to be thrown and just barely managed to avoid getting hit in the head by it. Grimacing slightly when the book hit her shoulder and subsuquently making her drop the cards, Izzy sighed and smiled, not bothering to look at the book that had since fallen on the floor. "Well if you wanted to play fifty-two pick up that badly you could've just said something~,"she teased before Ikki began to talk. Ugh...was he still going on about that....enough already, she hadn't asked for a lecture...had she...? Meh, maybe Ikki was right...she really did need sleep. Odd that she felt fine....it was just when she was bored and...all right fine she'd close the shop for a couple of hours...maybe a few days...
He was still talking wasn't he...this time it was about....hey! Hearing the comment about watching her pudge out, Izzy's eyes narrowed slightly. Bending down to pick up the cards simply to give her something to do (and help her resist the urge to flat out strangle Ikki), Izzy breathed in quietly as Ikki continued to talk. The menial task of picking up the cards did help to calm her slightly but as Ikki continued to drone on and on about sugar and how eating a lot of desserts was bad, Izzy was half-tempted to tune him out again but that would only prove that she was having trouble concentrating... It was only subjects she was bored with but still...that would only add fuel to his arguement and Izzy wasn't going to give him that satisfaction.
Izzy had just finished picking up her cards when Ikki got to the point about moderation and then making sweets illegal, Izzy very nearly dropped the cards again. Make sweets illegal...that was insanity...heh, good thing too many people would protest such a measure. Yeah, not gonna happen...or at least not while Izzy still had something to say about it~. "Mmm, yeah I don't think that'll happen~,"Izzy chimed in an almost sing song voice before shrugging her shoulders,"But fiine if you're going to give me a lecture about what to eat then I guess I'll stick with the triple chocolate strata and some of those stuffed lasagna things for the appetizer if ya want~,"she continued in a light voice before resuming shuffling her deck of cards absentmindedly.
