The first reply was simply met with a half smirk from Ikki and a shake of the head. He could have been harder on her and said that she could have been regulating her sleep better in the first place but decided to leave it alone for now, surprisingly enough considering his usual loud mouth nature. Whether it was because he himself was a little tired from dealing with other patients or whether it was simply Izzy's luck for the moment, the girl had managed to evade another lecture.
As Izzy replied correctly to his obscure examination, Ikki managed a better smile, yet skepticism lay in the back of his head like a dog too attracted to the food of the dinner table to leave it alone for a moment. As she closed her eyes and rubbed her temple, the doctor frowned. Standing up and walking around his desk, he stepped behind Izzy and set his gloved hands on either side of her temples and pressed softly. "Do you get headaches often now a days?" he asked calmly despite the fact that medical information and reasoning was now flooding his head with ideas as to the cause of things of that nature.

Izzy had been half expecting another lecture from Ikki after her first comment but wasn't going to complain when it seemed she had guessed wrong. With her eyes closed Izzy was very much aware of the sounds in the room and thus wasn't surprised when she felt Ikki's hands on her temples. The gentle pressure he applied eased her headache thankfully...at least she could think now... "Mmm...try migraines,"Izzy began quietly before giving a sort of half-laugh,"Most days I do...generally right when I wake up though."

Ikki bit the inside of his mouth thoughtfully for a moment. There really wasn't much one could do about migraines outside of simple pain medication unless of course there was a lower in depth reason as to why they were being caused. The fact that they occurred around the time that Izzy woke up seemed to argue the fact that she wasn't getting enough sleep which was indefinitely possible and would add to his skepticism which was something Ikki wouldn't admit to liking. Hm... After a few seconds he slowly lowered his hands and brought a finger to his own chin. "How long have you had them for?' he asked first and foremost wanting to get a bit more information. "I could prescribe some pain medication for you if you want," he hummed thoughtfully after that. Considering the fact that there was a chance that one could get hooked on pain medication, doctors tended to sometimes avoid it or try and substitute it, but Ikki wasn't one of those people. If he could fix something, he would, and that would make the world a better place-- and make him less irritated at the imperfection of sorts.

Izzy sighed when it seemed the migraine was beginning to ease up a little. Of course it might just have been the pressure from Ikki's hands that made it seem like it had lessened...Izzy wasn't entirely certain to that degree. Chancing opening her eyes again, Izzy smiled slightly upon realizing that the light didn't seem as harsh to look at...that was always a good sign. When Ikki lowered his hands and asked how long she'd had the migraines, Izzy had to think for a few moments...how long had it been....oh yes, that's right. "Mmm...a little over a week I think...sometimes two or three times a day..."Izzy replied lightly before Ikki continued.
Medication did sound like a quick solution to an increasingly irritating, not to mention painful, problem...as long as she didn't get addicted to it. The last thing Izzy wanted was to rely on medication just so her head wouldn't feel like someone was driving a jackhammer into her skull. "I wouldn't mind medicine,"Izzy replied after some thought. At the rate the migraines came and went, medication sounded like a welcome relief...she would just have to be careful not to overdose on it or take too much during a day and perhaps she wouldn't have to worry about getting addicted.

As Izzy explained that the migraines hadn't actually been going on for too long, Ikki found himself a little more glad than not that he could nip it in the bud, hopefully. A small smile once more sat itself on his features, and the slate haired doctor nodded. "I see," he replied briefly. As it seemed that she would indeed take up the medicine, Ikki smiled once more. "Alright," he replied before moving back to his desk and fishing through various papers before finally finding what he was looking for. Writing down a few notes, he folded the paper and inserted it into his front jacket pocket for later. He could easily give it to the secretary and have her fill in the actual paperwork later on seeing as that was her job, more or less. "Anything else I should know about?" he asked raising his eyebrow and offering a small smirk of sorts.

Izzy was more than a little relieved that Ikki didn't say much else. Considering how many lectures he'd already given it'd come to no surprise if he took her answer as an excuse for one. Watching him fill out the paperwork for what she supposed was the painkiller subscription, Izzy closed her eyes briefly. The light still kinda hurt her eyes...sure the migraine was passing but for now it'd be best if she just waited a few moments longer. The gentle hum of the microwave filled the air along with the scratching of pen and paper. Hearing Ikki ask if there was anything else he should know, Izzy opened up her eyes at the exact same moment the microwave dinged. "Food's ready~,"Izzy replied easily, smiling once again, hoping that he'd leave it at that and not push further. No doubt Izzy'd receive yet another lecture if Ikki knew that the few red licorice sticks she had earlier was all she'd eaten for... a while.

The microwave was quite an impressive beast, it seemed. Whether it had been waiting for Ikki to ask that question or whether Izzy had just happened to be watching the clock and knew when to reply, the doctor wasn't quite sure- if only because he had had his back to it when it went off. Briefly he smiled and sighed before shaking his had a little and walking to the microwave forcing it open and fishing out the food. Setting it on the desk area closest to Izzy, Ikki sat down in his own chair and leaned back in it shutting his eyes for a moment and just taking in the new smell of food.
If he had known that it was all Izzy had had to eat in a while, Ikki would have indeed been irritated- and hypocritical, but that was just who he was when it came down to it. He was more worried for his patients than he was for himself, but he was also more apt to play with his patients emotions and general lifestyles than he was doing such to himself. He was the only exception to his criticism because he was the critic after all, and it would be silly to dissect himself. "So what else has been going on?" he asked if only to further some conversation- not like he cared if he sounded rude with silence but because he wanted to talk, of course.

Izzy smiled when it appeared her ploy to avoid answering the question had worked. She may or may not have been watching the microwave's timer but only because the smell beginning to eminate from it was beginning to drive her nuts. When Ikki set the plate in front of her, Izzy didn't waste a moment before taking a bite of the stuffed lasagna appetizer. Mmmm~...so good...and after having little else but candy to snack on the past few days it was surprising how hungry Izzy really was. She had just taken another bite of the lasagna when Ikki asked what else had been going on. Swallowing her bite of food, Izzy shrugged,"Not much really~, I've got some orders for special parts that have come in and that's kept me busy but other than that it's pretty much the same...or were you talking about my health again...?" she replied easily, her tone slipping into a slight tease as she neared the end of the sentence. Not waiting for an answer, Izzy resumed eating her food, forcing herself to eat slowly despite how much she wanted to just wolf the entire thing down.

Watching Izzy eat briefly, Ikki's eyes fluttered to the ceiling and counted a few dots there waiting for the answer to his question. It wasn't that he didn't want to face her so much that he didn't want to seem like he was staring. People tended to get uncomfortable when they ate in front of others- especially when another person wasn't eating, and though he doubted this would be the case with Izzy, Ikki did it anyways. Was this some sort of polite gesture? As if Ikki actually thought of it that way. Instead, he had convinced himself that he was also there to figure out just how many dots were on his ceiling though he had counted them numerous times before.
As the response finally came- though it really didn't take that long anyways, the doctor half smiled and looked back down again. "Always working so hard it seems, hm?," he hummed softly before turning his head to one side and staring at the mechanic rather carefully.. "You know, you should go on vacation some time," he smiled raising an index finger as if to accentuate his words. "Some relaxation time and whatnot would do you good, you know," he said a bit louder than before. "When was your last actual vacation, hm?"

Izzy smirked at Ikki's response about her work and shrugged. It wasn't really that big of a deal and she could handle it after all. So what if she didn't get as much sleep as she should, as long as she got the work done it didn't really matter in the long run now did it~. "It's all right~. There's a lot to do at time sure but nothing I can't handle~,"Izzy chimed in response before Ikki went on about a vacation. Take a vacation from work...? Hah! As if! Izzy didn't trust those morons not to mess up as far as she could throw them. It was why she did the majority of the projects herself. None of her so called employees had yet to show they could handle more than changing the oil in a car or basic maintenance.
Finishing the stuffed lasagna, Izzy went to work on the Ziti al Forno before actually answering Ikki. "Vacation~?"Izzy replied in a near sing song voice,"Never had one of 'em~,"she continued before laughing softly as if never having a vacation was amusing. No doubt Ikki would give yet another lecture after hearing that but Izzy didn't really care, she was too busy enjoying the food to worry about Ikki's rambling right then.
